BUY A BRICK & BUILD A PLAYGROUND!
Buy a bracelet and let people know!

You can expect to see renovation work beginning at the Norwood Park upper playground any day now.  The new equipment has been ordered, the donor area designed, and an opening day celebration is being planned for Saturday, June 25th (not yet confirmed).

Friends of Norwood Park (FoNP) has been overwhelmed by the support that has been shown by the local communities.  FoNP continues to work actively to collect the additional funds needed to save and renovate the lower playground at the park.  The county had scheduled to eliminate this smaller playground near the ball fields, but will renovate it if we raise adequate funds.

Bricks will continue to be available for purchase until July 31st and are a terrific way to make a significant contribution.

FoNP also has green rubber embossed “Norwood Park” bracelets for sale for $3 each. They are a fashionable way to demonstrate your support for the project.  Contact Iona Klayman at ionajk@aol.com if you would like to order bracelets. They make great party favors!

Please contact Adele Medina O’Dowd (adele@chevychasewest.org or 202.255.0728) if you would like more information.
